…and it’s 70 degrees here today! Like summer. Craziness.
It’s been a while since I’ve been out here, so this is what’s been going on:
- Bald Man got the Chicken Pox. Thought he had them as a kid. He didn’t. The kids called him spots.
- The airline let him on the plane when he was sprouting like crazy. And not one person asked him if he knew what he had. Scary.
- I cut a 10 inch ponytail from Samantha’s hair. She wanted to donate to Locks of Love. She looks adorable with short hair. Photos to come later.
- Halloween is done. Yay. Had a Power Ranger, Buzz Whitemear (that’s how Luke says Buzz Lightyear), and Belle of Beauty and the Beast.
- I had a witch hat on while I passed out candy. My friend’s mom asked if Cory bought that for me. Ha. He knows better.
- Had to reschedule all birthday celebrations for Jake because of Bald Man’s pox and Luke’s croup. We should just never have birthday plans. This is the 4th time we’ve had to change birthday plans because of illness. This is the second time for chicken pox.
- My brother should be coming home soon from Afghanistan. I’m excited for that.
- So glad we skipped some school days for the nice weather. Too hard to focus when it’s so nice outside. Plenty of wintry days coming to stay in the warmth and focus on schoolwork.
- I’m sure there’s lots else to bore you with, but that’s good for now.
- Oh, and can’t wait til the vote is done. No more phone calls, commercials, mail, and people showing up at my door. Seriously, so done with it all.
Happy fall.
Yay! An update
And I just posted a video… about planning to donate my hair to Locks of Love. Good stuff.
would love to see the pictures of samantha… good for her! good to see the update, although too bad about illness and canceling birthday things…
Anne Marie: I still have to mail it out. I’m so forgetful!!
Heidi: We’re starting to get used to canceling celebrations due to illness. 4 times for birthdays, 2 or 3 times for Christmas. We’re just not meant to party.
52 days! That’s downright scary. Poor Bald man – I had adult chicken pox and it was no fun!
Hey Kerri, wonderful news! When is Doug coming home?!
I’ve tagged you Kerri – as usual, only do it if you are in the mood!
hey kerri i lost your email with our recent computer crash(es). give me a call when you have time!
Gill: He managed it pretty well. But he’s gonna have a nice scar right in the middle of his forehead.
I’ll get on that meme!!
Lynn: Should be in three weeks, at least to be stateside. It’s been a long year. I’m so glad he’s almost home.
Heidi: I left a comment on your blog! We’ve been having computer issues, too, and I didn’t have the right address on this computer.
