I haven’t written about the weightloss stuff for a while. There’s good reason for that….as I’m finishing off a piece of German chocolate cake for breakfast (I told you guys to take that home with you!!!).
Don’t worry, I was not irresponsibly modeling to my kids bad food habits. I had my backed turned to them so that they would not see me consuming dessert for breakfast while they sat munching on their PopTarts.
Now I feel ill.
I’ve been a bit stressed and a little depressed recently, but hadn’t really been able to pinpoint why. I’m just starting to figure out the reason. But, in the meantime, I’ve gone back to coping with food. Consuming, hating myself for it, hating to see the loss that I worked so hard for just start to dwindle away, or—more accurately—resume it’s natural place on various parts of my body.
I’d love to say that it stops right now. That I’ll immediately jump back on Calorie King and get myself in order. I’d love to say it, and I’d love for it to be true. I don’t think it is, yet. Not giving up, though. I’ve had a few really good eating/exercising weeks recently. Just gotta get more of them strung together.
I promise, I have more upbeat posts coming soon. One that cracks me up every time I start to read it, though it doesn’t always take that much to crack me up.
I love cheesy poofs.
Hang in there, toots!
Sheila: Thanks, friend. /me passes you the bowl of cheesy poofs
Kerri,
Don’t get down. We all need to take a break every now and again and catch our breath. Personally, I don’t get the whole comfort food thing, but that’s just me. I have my own bad habits.
What you need to do is to trade in that PS2 you have and get a Wii. I just played for like 2 hours and I was sweating harder than I’ve done in a long time. Plus, I was boxing. I have this little bald Me I go up against sometimes… Very rewarding… Very…
Hey Rantz
Yeah, I’ve always had the comfort food thing. Thought about switching to smoking or something. I’m sure the waistline would appreciate it, but I’m guessing the lungs would be more than ticked with me. Probably better to get rid of all the bad habits altogether. And what I need to do is get my sister’s Dance, Dance Revolution back! That works on the PS2 and gives a good workout! Though if I get the Wii then I can box against you, right? That could be fun.
Why not jsut box someone for real? That would work off calories and frustration and, depending on who you are beating up, lift your spirits all at the same time. All goals accomplished!
Jack: You assume that if I boxed someone I would be winning. Probably wouldn’t happen. Then I would just feel worse. And then I’d want a cookie, or three. Not a good plan. Keep thinking.
You need to have more confidence. You would be amazed how well you can scrap if given the opportunity to hit certain people. Not that I am an advocate of violence.:)
I found an open bag of cheesy poofs in the kitchen yesterday and of course they looked so yummy that I had to have some. Must have been open overnight because they were stale.
Kerri,
I got the DDR for the house with 2 dance pads for competition AND we can add any song we want to dance to. Oh the joys of shopping at Sams!
Whenever we finally get together we’ll have to have a DDR-off. Whenever that is…
Doug: Yes, unlike Twinkies, Cheesy Poofs have a very short shelf life.
Rantz: e-mailing you to set up a date!
