Homemom3: I could totally do that! However, it would still bug Baldman if HE knew that they didn't match. :P

Char: Hey there! I like the sock solution! I may have to try that one. I'm really looking forward to summer when we can all go around in sandals and cut down on all the loose socks! :D

Kerri - glad to see someone has a pile of laundry that rivals ours. We have 5 in the family too. I hate laundry with a passion. And even more, I hate folding socks. I don't do it. My family has given up. All the clean socks go in one basket and you have to pair them up yourself!

Happy Day!

Kendra: Thanks for commenting! Bald Man actually threatened one day to get rid of all the socks and just buy only the exact same type of sock for each person, to get rid of the matching problem! I hope no one is taping me, or they're getting a giggle here as well when I'm trying to match socks and fold t-shirts.

Vick: Hey there, friend. :) I wouldn't make any bets on all of those clothes fitting someone in this house! I think there's some that ready to be passed down. :) Victory in mothering=kids are changed (diapers), fed, relatively clean, loved beyond all doubt. That should be enough, yeah? ;) Hope your Easter was wonderful. I don't bother too much with the Easter outfits. One of our requirements when looking for a new church was a jeans-friendly service! Too much to stress about without thinking of the clothes. We were a little nicer on Easter, but not a ton. :P

Wow, Kerr, I have to tell you I was pretty impressed when I read "spot treat" in your list of laundress tasks. It looks like your laundry pile is related to mine-only yours probably has clothes that still all fit your children... e.g., Anna is wearing now 12 - 18 mos. size clothes, and I am 100% confident that her 0-3 month stuff is still in there somewhere. I wonder when the sedimentary layers I have in my pile will metamorphize into whatever neglected laundry becomes through pressure, age, or some unfathomable chemical reaction going on inside there.

I just have to come clean and say that I have totally given up on the laundry bit of motherhood. (This is added to the other chores over which I have long relinquished any hope of victory: dusting, plant watering, cabinet/closet tidying, wall washing, weeding...)

Back to spot treating, or the lack there of... During my pregnancy with Anna, we were so blessed to receive bin after bin, bag after bag of pink and cute little girls' clothes. To date the kid has only worn a few new outfits, but so much of what we were given was pristine hand-me-down apparel. I could have made a bunch of coin by taking it to a very nice resell-it shop. I really should have and bought the kid much more raggedity things--because we have all but destoyed most of those beautiful, only-previously-washed-in-Woolite outfits that had already been survived multiple neat, delicate children born to spot-treating mothers. *sigh*

Happy Easter!! Best wishes finding Easter outfits for the whole 5 of you! (I know I'm already stressing over that one.)

Looks like my laundry room. I swear, the sock thing is out of control. Someone has to be videotaping me trying to find the matching one and laughing their arse off!! I actually have to put sock purchases in our monthly budget now. LOL!

Lisa: I don't need a dirty laundry fairy. I need a CLEAN laundry fairy! :P

Bald Man: Did you have to pull out the full nelson on any of those baskets?

Homemom3: Thanks for visiting and commenting. :) A good portion of that pile is still down there, the rest is on our bed waiting to be folded! Glad I'm not the only one. :D

Csara: Thanks for vising and commenting, too. :) Sounds like us. "Laundry Day" is greeting with much groaning and gnashing of teeth. :P

LOL! I can relate. I literally have mountains of laundry and no, me and the iron don't mix either. People always suggest that I do a load a day, but who has time for that?!?! Instead I wait to do about 15 loads in one day. Yeah, that's fun.
