holeycheese: Sorry it's taken me so long to comment. I've been such a bad blogger lately!!! Yes, the photos were all there when I first posted it, but didn't make it when we had to convert to a different server. :( But I like your description of ink in the printer. I'll have to use that one! :D

I for one am not surprised that you had a blond, blue-eyed baby. Actually I would have been surprised if one of your children had not turned out that way! Afterall Luke's father has, well had, blond hair and blue eyes. Your father also had blond hair and blue eyes. And although you are Hispanic on your mother's side, your great-great-grand-father had blond hair and blue eyes. As a matter of fact, all his children were fair except for your great-grand-mother who looked typically Indian, (from the Huicholi tribe) but her 5 sisters all had light brown and auburn hair and hazel eyes. Hmm! (In Tlaltenango, Mexico, this was not rare, there were many pure Spaniards at the time.) Therefore it's not a surprise that your cousins Donny and Debbie had blond hair when they were young. Debbie may change her hair color every six months, but she still has blue eyes! Besides, if you would go to some of the family get togethers sometimes (just kidding), you would see that there are other cousins of yours; Devin, Natasha, and Isabella for example, who all have, yes....blond hair and blue eyes! Arianna is the only one with green eyes. At a recent family reunion Jennifer and Dan, Isabella's parents, looked at little Yvette with her black hair and dark brown eyes and said that they had hoped Isabella would come out looking typically Latina, but it was not to be! I guess they'll just have to pray harder next time! I'm sure if they continue to have more kids though, the odds are they'll have one looking just like Samantha or Jake!

I totally understand what you mean.

My first looks like me. My last looks like my husband. My middle child is just a cutie but looks like no one I know.

My brother-in-law's kids are even more odd. He's German/Polish, she's Egyptian. One stick straight blonde-haired, blue-eyed rosey cheeked child (ironically named Layla for "dark") and an olive-skinned, black curly haired, dark eyed child.

Ain't genetics grand?

Gina: Thanks! And thanks for visiting. Isn't God cool? I love life's surprises (most of them, anyway.) I was kind of hoping that one of them would have my skin coloring, but they're all pretty alabaster. The oldest two do tan up nicely, though. :D
